Learning Outcomes
On graduation, every trainee is assessed against these competencies in an employer-invigilated practical exam before the National Vocational Certificate is issued.
- Complete rough-in and finish plumbing for a 2-bedroom bungalow
- Join PEX, copper and PVC to code with crimp, solder and solvent methods
- Design and install compliant drainage, venting and trap-seal systems
- Install booster pumps, storage tanks and level controls
- Locate concealed leaks using thermal imaging, acoustic and dye methods
- Connect and commission a solar thermosiphon water-heating system
