Learning Outcomes

On graduation, every trainee is assessed against these competencies in an employer-invigilated practical exam before the National Vocational Certificate is issued.

Install, evacuate, charge and commission a 3-ton split system end to end
Read pressure-enthalpy behaviour and set superheat and subcooling correctly
Recover and handle R-32 and R-410A refrigerant to environmental regulation
Braze and flare joints and pressure-test for leaks
Diagnose electrical faults on capacitors, relays and thermostats
Commission VRF/VRV branch controllers and address indoor units
